My son sat for me this evening. He had been up all night the night before writing an article, and I was surprised at how much it showed in his face. He is usually much cuter. I used my new super cool Palomino pencil for this and decided that I would not paint it this time. I promise I will paint more of them though.

Another beautiful portrait. Gotta love those palomino pencils 🙂
I will have to look up Palomino pencil. I have some water soluble pencils and woodless pencils… I am fan of art supplies – period!
This sketch is really good. I like your style. I like the painted piece from yesterday and the sketch solo from today equally.
You have a great gift.
What a loving son you have who would sit for a portrait after staying up and not getting sleep! You did such a beautiful drawing of him. He’s very handsome.
What a great kid! Love your sketch. Tell him he looks cute even when he is tired.
Your sketch of your son is amazing. So much detail.
That’s wonderful! You are really good at this. I’m so tempted to join in on this faces challenge, but I’m so tired from the 30 days of painting. Maybe though, I could do pencil sketches. Try it anyway…You are inspiring!
Haha, he still looks plenty cute! Great portrait! (You could do only pencil sketches if you wanted… there are no rules! But paintings are nice.) 🙂
