Thank you everyone for helping me name my last mirror portrait. A friend in Italy, Antonio Borelli came up with “La Baronessa Spiritosa” and I thought it was great. So that’s who she is. I enjoyed everyone’s entries, and they gave me some ideas for the next one.

Mimi, can I paint this portrait of you in kind of a fookie style?
Oops, I meant this comment to go under the picture of the grandmother. Donna
What a heart-warming painting, Mimi! You have captured the very essence of grandmothering. The story is charming too! Thanks for bringing back memories of what a grandma is like. Donna Cunningham
The more I think about this, the more I think it was when we were moving TO The Dalles from Portland. I was only about 8 years old at the time. I remember Grandma telling Chris to watch us for a minute because she needed to go check the plumbing. I offered to go along and help. She thought that was really funny and teased me about it for a long time.
